Aiken, SC (WLTX) — A woman with dementia who'd been reported as missing in South Carolina has now been found safe.
Aiken Department of Public Safety officers say 82-year-old Aubrey Halford was located late Saturday night.
Officers say she was found during a ground search in the area near where she was reported missing. She appeared to be in good condition, officers report, and she was transported to a local hospital as a precaution.
She's a resident of Harbor Chase assisted living facility on Silver Bluff Road. Staff at the facility notified police around 7:45 p.m. Saturday that they had not seen her since 6:30 p.m.
