Sumter County, SC (WLTX) — Deputies are asking for the public's assistance to locate an armed and dangerous man in connection to a fatal shooting in Sumter on Saturday.
Deputies say Demetrius Alexander Brown is "armed and extremely dangerous" and should not be approached. His last known address is on Brewington Road in Sumter, but authorities say he is evading law enforcement.
Brown is described as a bald, 38-year-old African-American man with Brown eyes, who stands 5'7" and weighs approximately 300 pounds.
He is wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at Auto Doctors on South Pike East Road in Sumter on Saturday afternoon. After being shot, deputies say 34-year-old Sharmine Pack was taken to the hospital where he later died.
If you spot Brown, deputies say DO NOT APPROACH HIM. Instead, call authorities immediately.
