Orangeburg County, SC (WLTX) - An initial car accident report is now an active homicide investigation in Orangeburg County.
Troopers with the SC Highway Patrol reported two fatalities when they found a 2004 Chevy Impala on Brelands Road in Holly Hill on December 9.
When an Orangeburg County deputy arrived on the scene, he determined it was "more than just a motor vehicle accident," siting the amount of damage and bodily injuries. The investigation was then turned over to the Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office, and the scene was cleared.
Both victims, 29-year-old Michael Laprince Pinckney and 34-year-old Ricky Antoine Taylor, suffered possible gun shot wounds, according to an incident report.
The sheriff's office is now investigating what they describe as suspicious deaths in this shooting incident.
