Columbia, SC (WLTX) - A newly-released dash cam video is showing some of what led up to the crash and struggle in Columbia Saturday night that many people saw broadcast nationally on "Live PD."

The recording comes from a camera installed in a deputy's vehicle that was trying to pull over 22-year-old Bryan Allan Martin. Martin is facing a list of charges, including resisting arrest and child endangerment. As of Monday afternoon, he was still being held at the Richland County Detention Center on bond totalling nearly $103,000.

The video shows the two cars involved in high-speed chase. At first, the deputy is following close behind the vehicle, but Martin's car takes off. A few minutes later, his van crashed and rolled over.

The recording does not include audio.

What happened next was captured on TV by a crew from "Live PD," the A&E program that follows around members of the Richland County Sheriff's Department while they're on patrol on Friday and Saturday nights.

Deputies say the entire incident began with a call of a fight at a house party on Pelican Road. Officers say when they got to the scene, Martin drove away.

The video taken by the "Live PD" then showed the man identified as Martin get out of the car while holding his daughter in his arms. Richland County Deputy Chris Mastrianni, who had responded to the scene, attempts to detain the main, and the two get into a struggle, with Martin continuing to hold the child in one arm while trying to hold off Mastrianni with the other.

Eventually the girl was put down, the two continued their struggle, but Mastrianni was able to restrain the man and take him into custody.

The girl was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
