EASTOVER, S.C. — Officials say a home was completely destroyed, but no one was injured in a Thursday morning house fire in Eastover.
The Columbia-Richland Fire Department said first-shift crews in Battalion 4 responded to Piney Branch Road just before 8 a.m. and found a fire already burning heavily when they arrived. Crews were able to bring the fire under control and said the home appeared to be vacant at the time.
The Richland County Fire Marshal's Office is now charged with finding out what caused the fire.
