Richland County, SC (WLTX) - A fire at an car salvage yard in northern Richland County is now under control, more than two hours after it began.
The fire broke out late Thursday afternoon at Auto Salvage LLC at 7716 Fairfield Road, which is across from Oak Hills Golf Club.
Multiple cars were on fire at one point, and heavy flames and smoke were coming from a section of the yard.
However, by 6:30 firefighters had gotten the flames out, and the fire was just smoldering.
No one was hurt in the fire.
Part of that roadway was closed while fire crews dealt with the situation.
