FAIRFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — All lanes of I-77 North in Fairfield County are now open after significant delays caused by a tractor trailer fire Thursday morning.
Officials say the fire happened near the 33 mile marker on I-77 North in Fairfield County around 3 a.m. Thursday morning, originally shutting down all lanes.
Around 6 a.m., Fairfield County Fire Service said the fire was under control and one lane had reopened.
At 6:25 a.m., S.C. Highway Patrol announced a detour was in place.
Just before 7 a.m. S.C. Highway Patrol announced that all lanes had reopened.
No injuries were reported.
Fairfield County Fire Service said the Columbia Fire Department responded to provide mutual aid.
