Columbia, SC (WLTX) — A man who is accused of pushing a woman to the ground and stealing money from her has been arrested by Columbia Police.
Jason Davis, 34, has been charged with assault and battery-first degree and strong arm robbery.
Police say Davis pushed a woman to the ground then punched and kicked her before stealing her money around 10 p.m. Sunday night in the parking lot of Walgreens on Devine Street.
A witness who flagged own a Columbia Police officer provided a description of the suspect and the direction he was headed, according to police. Officers say they later found Davis walking near a store on Beltline Boulevard with the stolen cash on him.
His bond was set at $100,000 on Monday, according to Columbia police..
