Fairfield County, SC (WLTX) The person who was killed in a Saturday evening wreck in Fairfield has been identified.
The driver was Tyana lanishia Hood.
According to Lance Cpl Gary Moore of the SC Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Saturday evening around 7:30PM on Old River road about nine miles from the town of Winnsboro.
Troopers say a 2015 Chevy Cruze was traveling south on US 21 when Ms. Hood attempted to make a turn onto Old River Road and ran off the left side of the road striking a tree.
Both she and the passenger were transported to the hospital. The driver died at the hospital, the passenger's condition is unknown, neither were wearing a seatbelt.
The accident remains under investigation.
