Police Search for Suspect Named "Fluffy", Accused of Using Car as Weapon

The Columbia Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of intentionally using a vehicle to strike and injure a victim.

Columbia, SC — Columbia, SC (WLTX)- The Columbia Police Department is searching for a suspect accused of intentionally using a vehicle to strike and injure a victim.

Investigators are working to identify the female suspect who possibly goes by the nickname of “Fluffy.” She was last seen driving a white, 4-door 2008 – 2011 Ford Focus. There is a trim piece near the front tire which is only available on select vehicles.

The suspect is accused of arguing with the female victim while at Lakeside Drive shortly after 11:00 a.m. on July 10, 2018.

After the argument, the suspect driver allegedly hit the victim who was standing in the roadway, causing her to fall to the ground upon impact. The victim was dragged a short distance underneath the vehicle before the driver left the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for her injuries. According to medical staff, the victim primarily suffered from road rash.
