Sumter County, SC (WLTX) - Sumter County deputies are looking for a man in connection to an armed robbery Friday night.
Deputies say the suspect stole cash from The Station at 5480 Florence Highway after assaulting a clerk around 8:35 p.m. Friday.
The clerk was reportedly beaten, hit in head with an unknown object. The victim was airlifted to McLeod hospital, and is currently in stable condition.
The suspected, described as a 5-foot-10 black male weighing 180 pounds, reportedly took an undetermined amount of money and several other items from the convenience store before fleeing on foot.

Surveillance video shows the suspect wearing dark clothing, white gloves and a black fishing- or boonie-style hat with writing and a long red draw string. He also appeared to have a thin beard.
