Lexington County, SC (WLTX) - Lexington County deputies say a suspect is in custody after issuing a threat against Chapin High school earlier this week.
Investigators reportedly identified and detained the student at Chapin High School Wednesday morning.
"We take every threat, no matter its form, very seriously," said Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon. "Thanks to our work together with Lexington-Richland School District 5, we were able to identify this suspect and hold him accountable."
The suspect is being held by the SCDJJ and is charged with disturbing schools, breach of peace and malicious injury to real property.
