Columbia, SC (WLTX) - Two 16-year-old students were arrested for bringing weapons onto school grounds Tuesday.
Richland County deputies say a loaded magazine was found in one student's backpack at A.C. Flora High School after a school resource officer was alerted by a school administrator.
A Smith and Wesson .380 handgun was also found during a search after students said someone threw something into bushes on the school's campus.
No students were in danger at any time, according to a report.
Both students were charged with weapons on school grounds. One student was released to the custody of his parents, and the other was transported to the Richland County Detention Center.
