MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Police in Myrtle Beach say a woman died while swimming on the coastline there.
The incident around 6:40 p.m. Sunday.
Officers say they got a call that a swimmer was in trouble at 80th Avenue North. When they arrived, the victim was already dead.
Deputy Coroner Darris Flower told local media outlets the woman was pulled from the water near 84th Avenue. An autopsy confirmed that she drowned.
The Myrtle Beach Police Department continues to investigated what led up to the victim's death.
