Police in Columbia are searching for an 'armed and dangerous' suspect who they say stabbed a woman during a home invasion.
Columbia Police say the incident happened around 10 p.m. Monday on Henderson Street. Officers say 49-year-old Anthony Alonzo Baker forced the woman out her home, then stabbed her multiple times in the upper and lower body.
Officers describe Baker as an 'acquaintance' of the victim.
Police say the suspect then ran toward an area near Blossom Street near the University of South Carolina campus.
The exact condition of the victim is not known.
Baker has an outstanding warrant in connection with an assault on the same victim that happened back on February 27 on Patterson Road.
Baker is 6 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs 300 pounds.
