Two people are dead in a fiery car crash Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 95.
According to Lance Cpl Matt Southern with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 4:30 PM on Wednesday on I-95 southbound near mile marker 113.
A the driver of a 2005 Hyundai SUV ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree and the car caught fire. Both the driver and a passenger were killed. Troopers were unable to tell if the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
The accident remains under investigation.
