Dutch Fork head football coach Tom Knotts will be working an All-Star Game in the Palmetto State for the first time this year.
Knotts will be an assistant in the Touchstone Energy North-South Game. He will be on the South staff along with Gilbert head coach Chad Leaphart, Chapin assistant Mike Strange and Pelion assistant David Smith. The head coach of the South team is Wayne Farmer who this week was named the new head coach at Calhoun County High School.
Knotts won his 10th career state title title and third at Dutch Fork High School this past season. The 28-27 win over Dorman was the second consecutive 5A state championship for the Silver Foxes.
Longtime Saluda assistant Wayne Bell will serve as an assistant on the North squad which will be led by Christ Church's Don Frost.
The game will be played December 9 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach.
