USC head football coach Will Muschamp doesn't put much stock in preseason media polls but the feeling is that his team stands a good chance of being picked to finish second in the SEC Eastern Division.
The reason Carolina is generating that kind of buzz is due to his efforts to upgrade the talent by hitting the the recruiting trail and hitting it hard.
Muschamp was known as a tireless worker in all facets of running a program and that has extended to recruiting. He set the tone when an hour or so after he was introduced as USC's head coach, he was at Richland Northeast High School to check in on linebacker T.J. Brunson who eventually flipped from Louisville to USC.
As he heads into year three, Muschamp keeps one eye on the talent he has and the other one on the talent he wants to bring into the program.
