COLUMBIA, S.C. — For the second weekend in a row, parts of the South Carolina Midlands actually saw accumulations of snow.
It's a rare event for the Palmetto State and something that, while frustrating on the roads, has definitely left a lasting - and often more joyous - impression on residents who were quick to document the surprise accumulation collecting in their own yards.
Meanwhile, for some younger residents and even pets, this now makes for only the second time they've ever seen snow in their lives.
