COLUMBIA, S.C. — Shannon Taylor is News19's weekend morning anchor and multi-skilled journalist.
Shannon was born in Maryland and raised in Florida (so she's no stranger to the heat). She joined the WLTX News19 team in July 2024.
Before coming to the Midlands, Shannon previously worked as a weekend producer, multi-media journalist, and fill-in weekend anchor at 13 WREX in Rockford, Illinois. While in Illinois she covered a variety of stories in the community including severe weather in both Illinois and Wisconsin, President Joe Biden's historical visit, education, crime and election stories.
She is a proud graduate from the University of Florida (GO GATORS! )with a bachelor's degree in broadcast Journalism.
As Shannon takes on her new position in the Midlands, Shannon is excited to begin her journey back on the East Coast and continue to contribute her talents to the community and industry.
