COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia is getting a new restaurant in the BullStreet District.

Asheville-based Tupelo Honey Cafe has announced it will be locating in the first floor of the Bennet at BullStreet, adjacent to Segra Park, the First Base Building, and the new WestLawn Building. This will be Tupelo Honey's first location in Columbia, the restaurant chain has locations in Greenville and Myrtle Beach in addition to 18 other locations in 13 states.

“When I first visited the BullStreet District, I knew it was not a matter of if we wanted to be there, but when. The ‘when’ is now,” says Stephen Frabitore, CEO of Tupelo Honey Cafe.

Tupelo Honey serves Southern-inspired made-from-scratch dishes such as honey-dusted fried chicken, shrimp and grits, and chicken and waffles, and features a full drink menu that includes signature handmade cocktails.

“Tupelo Honey coming to the BullStreet not only solidifies Columbia’s status as a great culinary destination in the southeast, but it is also a powerful statement on the growth and development of businesses in this district,” says Robert Hughes, president of Hughes Development Corporation, the master developer of the BullStreet District.

The restaurant is scheduled to open in early 2024 and will serve brunch, lunch and dinner.
