LEXINGTON, S.C. — If you've ever seen BMX racers hustling around a dirt track and thought to yourself, "that looks like fun," well now is your time to find out. And... you don't even have to own a bike.
USA BMX will be holding a free registration event at the Red Bank Sports Complex in Lexington County, 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8.
First-timers can borrow a loaner BMX bike and helmet -- or you can bring your own gear -- and take a lap (or two) around the track. If you find out that you like BMX racing, and want to do more, you can sign up for membership to USA BMX.
Who knows, in a few years you might be racing for Team USA in the Summer Olympics.
