LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Town of Lexington is hosting an "egg-citing" Easter event, allowing people to experience all the town has to offer.
Throughout the Easter season, the town has had large wooden eggs in its parks and destination places.
The large eggs are part of the Great Lexington Easter Egg Hunt, which town spokesperson Lauren Barnes says is meant to get people out and exploring.
"The Great Lexington Egg Hunt is a chance for the community to get out and basically just enjoy Lexington's parks," Barnes said. "We hide an easter egg in each park, and then families can go around and explore the parks and match the egg to the park."
Participants can print the map off at home, or if you're a Town of Lexington resident, you should have received one by mail. You can also find a copy of the map on Lexington's social media. The map has the general locations of each egg. Each egg has a different pattern with a corresponding letter. When you find an egg in one of the locations, mark it off on your map.
Once you've found all seven eggs you can return your map to Town Hall with your name, email, and phone number for the chance to win a prize.
There are five different easter baskets you could potentially win, all with a little something for both the kids and the adults.
All egg hunt maps must be completed and turned in to the town hall by Monday, April 1.
