Soda City Comic Con brings iconic voices, retro gaming, and immersive experiences to Columbia this weekend

Here's your chance to mix and mingle with artists, vendors, cosplayers and special guests

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Soda City Comic Con returns to the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center this weekend. Attendees will have the chance to participate in games, competitions, cosplay and panel discussions, as well as meet vendors and special guests.

Now in its ninth year, Soda City Comic Con will feature family-friendly entertainment such as

  • more than 50 pinball and arcade games set for free play
  • a special Retro Reaction vintage game room with original Nintendo and Sony systems
  • new this year, the VR Villa for immersing yourself in the latest virtual reality experience
  • cosplay contests for all ages
  • John Wick heads-up challenge

Are you looking for panel discussions and special guests? Here's a sampling of guests scheduled to appear:

  • Peter Cullen: the voice of characters such as Optimus Prime, Eeyore, King Kong and Predator
  • Khary Payton: The Walking Dead, General Hospital, Teen Titans, etc.
  • Sam Witwer: roles include the Star Wars franchise, Dexter, Once Upon a Time, Being Human, Battlestar Galactica, Supergirl, Smallville, Riverdale and more
  • Roger Clark: best known for portraying Arthur Morgan through performance capture in the 2018 video game Red Dead Redemption 2 and Jack Leary in #FortSolis
  • Alison Sealy-Smith: film and television credits include the series Street Legal, This is Wonderland and The Line, and voices of Storm on the 1990s X-Men and Scarlett on the Teletoon series Delilah and Julius.
  • Michael Bell: television appearances in StarTrek, Deep Space Nine (3 times), Charlie's Angels, and Mission Impossible; animated series and films include The Transformers, G.I. Joe, The Smurfs, Rugrats, The Snorks, Plastic Man, Super Friends, Spiderman, Scooby Doo, The Chipmunks, The Incredible Hulk, Voltron, The Inhumanoids, Spiral Zone, and Tom and Jerry
