Hootie & the Blowfish launch Summer Camp with Trucks tour with stop in Columbia in 2024

The Columbia-based band will tour with special guests Collective Soul and Edwin McCain.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia's own Hootie & the Blowfish have announced a new music tour beginning in May 2024. The Summer Camp with Trucks Tour will feature special guests Collective Soul and Edwin McCain and marks the first time the band has been on the road since 2019.

That tour was a 25th anniversary celebration of the release of the band's debut album Cracked Rear View. Released in 1994, the Cracked Rear View album ended up selling more than 25 million copies, featured four hit songs -- 'Hold My Hand,' 'Let Her Cry,' 'Only Wanna Be with You,' and 'Time' -- and earned the group their first Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals (for 'Let Her Cry') in 1996.

On the Summer Camp with Trucks Tour, the band will hit 43 cities across the United States, beginning in Dallas on May 30, 2024. The guys will stop in Columbia on August 29 at Colonial Life Arena.

If you are a subscriber to the Hootie & the Blowfish e-newsletter, pre-sale access to tickets begin at noon Tuesday, November 7 through 10 p.m. Thursday, November 9. All others can access tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, November 10.

Just like other tours, there will be a variety of ticket packages available -- from premium tickets, backstage tours with photos onstage, VIP lounge access, autographed merchandise and more.
