Looking for background actors for 'Outer Banks' season 4

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Ever wanted to be in pictures? 

You know the movies? 

A Netflix series that films on the Carolina's coast is looking for background actors.

Join the exciting world of "Outer Banks" Season 4, a popular series that blends adventure, drama, and mystery set against the beautiful backdrop of the Outer Banks. We are currently seeking background actors to fill a key featured role. This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a dynamic cast and experience the behind-the-scenes of a hit television series."

Role: "Featured Male Kook"

  • Gender: Male
  • Ethnicity: All ethnicities are encouraged to apply
  • Age: 18-24 years old

Filming Dates:

  • Must be available to work on all the following dates without exceptions:
    • Thursday, April 25
    • Tuesday, April 30
    • Friday, May 3
    • Monday, May 13

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform as a background actor under the direction of the production team
  • Follow directions from the director and staff to fulfill the role requirements
  • Maintain professionalism on set at all times
  • Be prepared for varying weather conditions as shooting locations may be outdoors
  • Participate in costume fittings as required by the production team

Requirements:

  • Must fit the age and physical description specified
  • Must be local to Charleston, SC, or willing to work as a local hire (no travel or accommodation compensation)
  • Must have full availability on specified shooting dates
  • Previous acting experience is preferred but not necessary
  • Must legally be allowed to work in the U.S.

Compensation:

  • Rate: $150 per day for a 10-hour day (Time and a half after 10 hours)
  • This role is a paid position and will be under a non-union contract

I hear you asking, "What is a Kook?"  

According to the "surf slang" a Kook is more like a 'poser', which in sports means "someone who pretends to be someone they are not and someone who tries to fit in with exaggeration."   They credit Urban Dictionary.
