Easy vegan bean dip for Super Bowl Party

A Columbia restaurant shows us step by step how to make their new vegan bean dip

COLUMBIA, S.C. — If you're looking for an easy, plant-based dish to make for your super bowl party, then look no further. Rezoid Vegan Experience has you covered.

Depending on how much time and patience you have, you can prepare the dish two ways.

Ingredients: Recipe feeds 5-6 people

  • 1-2 cans of Red Kidney Beans
  • 1 package of Lightlife or any plant-based meat
  • 1 bag of Violife or any plant-based cheese
  • Tortilla Chips

Directions:

1. Heat both cans of Red Kidney Beans on medium heat or you can soak soak beans for 2-3 hours, then cook on low for 10 minutes. Do not drain liquid. 1 can is equal to about 1.75 cups of cooked beans.

2. While that is heating up, cook plant-based meat according to instructions on the bag. Season both the beans and plant-based meat to your liking. The restaurant used Malibu All-Purpose Seasoning but you can always use whatever is in your home.

3. Once beans are hot and the crumbles are cooked, stir them together. Then top it off with plant-based cheese. You can add as little or as much as you want.

4. Serve with your choice of tortilla chips and enjoy!
