(WLTX) - You now have a chance to go on a treasure hunt--but you don't even have to leave your hometown to find the prize!
That's because the first-ever WLTX News19's Find the Golden Football Treasure Hunt is underway!
Here's how works: Tuesday, we put 19 footballs with a gold WLTX logo and signatures of our anchors at landmarks around the 11 counties in our viewing area. We've begun posting those secret locations on WLTX's Facebook, Twitter , and Instagram pages.
- If YOU are the FIRST to find a "golden" football, you have two options.
- 1 - Take the football and keep it as a souvenir.
- 2 - TAKE the football, BRING it to the WLTX Studios to win a $50 FIRST Prize and REGISTER for the Grand Prize of $519, AND keep the football as a souvenir!
- Keep in mind that you can only win ONCE, so do NOT go hunting for all 19 footballs.
- If you find one, you have until 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 26th to bring it to WLTX to win the $50 First Prize and register to win the $519 Grand Prize.
- The Grand Prize winner will be announced live on Friends at Five on Tuesday, January 26th.

OFFICIAL RULES:
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR TO WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING. SUBJECT TO APPLICABLE FEDERAL, STATE, LOCAL AND MUNICIPAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
2. Eligibility. Subject to the additional restrictions below, the WLTX News19 Find the Golden Footballs Treasure Hunt (the "Contest") is open to legal U.S. residents (excluding Puerto Rico) of the following counties of Richland, Sumter, Saluda, Lexington, Lee, Newberry, Fairfield, Orangeburg, Calhoun, Kershaw and Clarendon in the Midlands of South Carolina, who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees and contractors of WLTX ("Sponsor") and TEGNA Inc., and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, any such employees or contractors, are not eligible to enter or to win.
3. How ToEnter. The Contest will begin at 12:00pm Noon (ET) on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 and end at 5:00pm (ET) on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 (the "Contest Period").
Entry. On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, Sponsor will post the photographs and locations of nineteen (19) Sponsor-branded footballs ("Golden Football") on Sponsor's social media accounts of Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. These nineteen (19) locations will be throughout the following counties: Richland, Sumter, Saluda, Lexington, Lee, Newberry, Fairfield, Orangeburg, Calhoun, Kershaw and Clarendon in the Midlands of South Carolina. Entrants are not required to follow or like any of these accounts. Contestants are required to visit one of the posted locations and locate the Golden Footballs at such location and return it to Sponsor's office at any time during the Contest Period at Sponsor's address noted in Section 6.
Limit one (1) entry per person during the Contest Period. Each contestant may find and return only one (1) of the Golden Footballs.
By entering, you agree to the terms of these Official Rules and to receive e-mails from Sponsor or those directed by Sponsor. You can opt-out of the receipt of such e-mails by following the directions on the Sweepstakes website or in any email received from Sponsor.
4. Winner Selection Each eligible contestant who returns one of the Golden Footballs to Sponsor's office during the required times and dates will win a First Prize the day the Golden Football is returned. Contestants who find any Golden Football are not required to return the Golden Football to Sponsor and will therefore forfeit the First Prize and Grand Prize.
The Grand Prize winner will be selected by random drawing solely from the nineteen (19) first prize winners on or about Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
5.Prizes and Odds. Each of the nineteen (19) First Prize winners will receive a VISA gift card valued at $50.00 [ARV $50.00] with an expiration date of September 1, 2021. One (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a $519.00 VISA gift card [ARV $519.00] with an expiration date of September 1, 2021.
6. Winner Notification and Acceptance. First Prize winners will be notified in-person when they visit the Sponsor's offices and return the Golden Football to Sponsor as required and will claim the prize during that visit.
The Grand Prize winner will be notified on or about Tuesday, January 26, 2016 and must respond to such notification within 48 hours. Failure of the Grand Prize winner to respond within such time period or return of email prize notification as undeliverable or failure of Grand Prize winner to respond to notification may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining eligible entries. Sponsor reserves the right to announce the name of the Grand Prize winner on any Sponsor newscast, after verification of eligibility of such winner.
To claim prize, the First Prize winners and Grand Prize winner must personally visit Sponsor's offices at 6027 Garners Ferry Rd., Columbia, SC 29209 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. (E.T.) and 5:00 p.m. (E.T.). The Grand Prize winner must claim the prize within three (3) business days after notification (office visits must be between the hours of 9:00am (ET) and 5:00 pm (ET) weekdays). Valid photo identification may be required by Sponsor in each case. Winners may waive their right to receive prizes. Prizes are nonassignable and nontransferable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability and Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on prizes. Winners may be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility/liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law) which must be returned as instructed by Sponsor. Failure to sign and return the affidavit or release, or to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules, may result in a winner's disqualification, the forfeiture of his or her interest in the prize, and the award of the prize to a substitute winner. Except where prohibited, acceptance of any prize constitutes winner's consent to the publication of his or her name, biographical information and likeness in any media for any commercial or promotional purpose, without limitation the Internet, or further compensation. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.
7. Participation. By participating, contestants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Contest as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Contest is compromised by causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. Should the Contest be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date. Sponsors will not be responsible for incomplete, lost, late, misdirected or illegible entries. By participating in this Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees to fully release, forever discharge and hold harmless Sponsor from and against all claims, costs, liabilities, losses, injuries, and damages arising out of the Contest, including, but not limited to, any claims for personal injury, death or damage to or loss of property or any other harm arising out of entrant's participation in the Contest, the receipt, use, or misuse of any prize, or any travel or activity that is related to the Contest or any prize. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.
8. Construction. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
9. Sponsor. The "WLTX News19 Find the Golden Footballs Treasure Hunt" is sponsored by WLTX. The decisions of Sponsor regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Contest shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Rules or in other materials relating to the Contest.
