BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. — A fisherman reeled in a jaw-dropping catch at the Diversion Canal at Lake Moultrie on Wednesday. Jason Cribb caught the 77 pound Arkansas blue catfish at Santee Cooper.
Video of the big catch is posted on the SportsmanNetwork YouTube page. During the video, Cribb says he was using live herring as bait and it took him 45 minutes to get the fish into his boat.
The Cypress Gardens in Moncks Corner invites people to come see the fish for themselves at their Swamparium. The group still wants to come up with a name for the giant catch and hopes the public will help choose an appropriate name.
