Blythewood, SC (WLTX) -One store in Blythewood seems to be a lucky place for lottery winners.
"One person won $600,000," says the store's manager, Elizabeth Berends. "They played their Cash 5 three times. And then one other person won $300,000 on a Cash 5 ticket as well."
Lutrundia Carzata stopped by the Sharpe Shop #4 at 10400 Wilson Blvd. to pick up her lottery tickets. She says she didn't know about the winners, but she's feeling lucky.
She tells us, "So I got me a quick pick on the Cash 5, one power up, and one not Powerup. So take my chances either way."
Chances might be pretty good if recent winnings at this store are an indication. The real lucky people who won in the Pick 5 game had a strategy. One man played the power up, won $100,000 but with the power up of 3, ended up with $300,000. The store manager says if its who she thinks it is, he's a regular customer who plays the same numbers all the time. Lutrundia says she has certain lucky numbers too. She says, "I didn't change any numbers today. You don't change your numbers that's when they roll, when you change them. So no, I didn't change my numbers today."
The person who won the $600,000 played the same numbers three times and that raked in the big dough.
