School to Parents: Don't Drop Off Forgotten Lunches, Books

A school in Arkansas is hoping to teach some life-lessons along with the normal coursework to its students, and it's got an eye-opening message for parents.

A post made to the Catholic High School for Boys Facebook page.

Little Rock, AR (WLTX) - A school in Arkansas is hoping to teach some life-lessons along with the normal coursework to its students, and it's got an eye-opening message for parents.

On its Facebook page, Catholic High School for Boys in Little Rock posted a picture of a paper message it taped to the front of their school. It features a read stop sign, with the message below it, "if you are dropping off your son's forgotten lunch, books, homework, equipment, etc., please TURN AROUND and exit the building. Your son will learn to problem solve in your absence."

Above the picture on the post, the school wrote, "Welcome to Catholic High. We teach reading, writing, arithmetic, and problem solving."

Opinions on the message from commenters were largely supportive, with one person person writing "that's what they need to learn!!" But others questioned the school's stance, saying that people all forget things, and that everyone "needs a helping hand now and then."

By late Wednesday, the post had received 69,000 likes and 116,000 shares.
