LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Lexington Police Department helped capture a different sort of runaway Thursday morning.
You could say, "This little piggy didn't want to stay home."
Helping capture a runaway piglet on North Lake Drive was not the way officer Kimberly Honeycutt thought she would start her day.
The piglet was loose on North Lake Drive, but with the help of a few concerned motorists, Honeycutt and Lexington County Sheriff's Corporal Justin Pifer were able to catch "Sausage," as his family calls him.
According to a tweet, the pig escaped Wednesday night, and was reunited with his family Thursday morning.
