Charleston, SC - An expectant mom in South Carolina is up in arms after she says she was asked to leave the gym because she was violating the dress code.
Melissa Mantor, who's 18 weeks pregnant, says a staff member at Planet Fitness told her she needed to change her tank top because she was violating the dress code.
"She said your belly's hanging out, and I said of course my belly's hanging out -- I'm obviously pregnant!" Mantor said.
Mantor cancelled her membership after the incident.
In a statement, Planet Fitness' director of public relations says their dress code prohibits "string tank tops and revealing clothing," among other items.
He said the owner of the Planet Fitness where Mantor was a member will contact her to address the problem.
