SPOKANE, WA (KREM) -- A Washington woman made an unusual discovery during a pit-stop on a road trip. Sarah Stevens was driving from Chewelah to Spokane, Washington and made a stop at Costco. When she got out of her car, she heard something making a noise under the hood of her car.
When Stevens returned to her car after shopping, she heard a loud thump and a meow. Stevens opened the hood of her car to find a cat wedged behind her engine.
She said she went into the tire center at Costco for help. Three men came out to help her retrieve the cat.
One of the men from the tire center pulled the cat out from behind while Stevens pushed from the front. They were scared the cat would run away once he was removed from the car, but instead Stevens said it curled up in her arms.
The cat appeared unharmed except for what looks like a small burn or scratch on its nose, said Stevens.
Stevens is looking for a good home for the cat.
