GATLINBURG, Tenn. — If bears have a serious sugar craving, they just go to the candy store like anyone else.
A bear was caught eating some candy at Sweet! candy company in Gatlinburg Wednesday night.
Gatlinburg Police Department responded to the candy shop and helped get the bear out of the store. GPD said officers have training from Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency on how to respond to bear calls. TWRA is aware of the incident.
WBIR reached out to Sweet! and asked if the bear had a favorite candy and they told us it liked Charleston Chews and Hershey's Kisses.
In the video below, you can see someone trying to shoo the bear out of the store.
Most importantly, no one was injured in the incident except for the bear's sweet tooth.
