COLUMBIA, S.C. — The City of Columbia wants to inject more fun into the holiday season with a new interactive activity for everyone visiting the Main Street shopping district.
During the month of December, shoppers are encouraged to try to find more than 20 elves hidden in various businesses within the district in the Elf on a Shelf Scavenger Hunt for a chance to win gift cards from participating businesses.
The rules of the hunt are simple:
- Find an elf in one of the participating businesses
- Post a photo of the elf to your Instagram story, tagging @MainStColaSC and the business where you found the elf (see the list of Instagram handles below)
- Make sure the following @MainStColaSC and the business(es) where you found your elf (or elves)
- Yes, elves. You can enter as many times as the number of elves you find. The Main Street District will track the entries each day.
- Five winners will be announced on New Year's Eve.
