Town of Lexington collecting toys for Western North Carolina families impacted by Hurricane Helene flooding

Drop-off sites for donations can be found in these locations through Thursday, Dec. 19

LEXINGTON, S.C. — The Town of Lexington's Police Department is partnering with For Life Medical Transport to collect toys for children of families impacted by Hurricane Helene in Rutherford County, North Carolina.

Clean, new toys -- as well as cash and check donations to purchase toys -- will be accepted from noon-4 p.m. at the following locations:

  • Wednesday, Dec. 18: Learning Express, 5175 Sunset Boulevard
  • Thursday, Dec. 19: Tractor Supply, 5589 Sunset Boulevard

If you cannot make these drop-off sites, donations can be made at the Lexington Police Department, 111 Maiden Lane. 

On Friday, December 20, Community Action Team officers and For Life Medical Transport will take the trailer filled with donated toys to children in the area of Cliffside Fire & Rescue Station, Cliffside, NC, for this toy giving event.
