COLUMBIA, S.C. — Easter is Sunday, March 31.

One of the relatable traditions of Easter is the egg hunt where children (of all ages) can scour the landscape looking for hidden Easter eggs for fun and (sometimes) prizes. Here are some of the planned Easter Egg Hunts in the Columbia and Lexington areas:

9 a.m.-1 p.m. Clinton Sease Farm, 382 Olde Farm Rd, Lexington. Spend the morning on the Easter Egg Hunt (limit 15 eggs per hunter), take a ride on the Cow Train wagon ride, play with Bubble Mania, take on the obstacle course and have your picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Tickets available online, food and drink available for separate purchase

10 a.m. Peep-A-Palooza hosted by Irmo Church of God, Irmo Community Park, 7507 Eastview Dr., Irmo. A day of family fun, this free entry event is going to be blast with games, prizes, egg hunts and food trucks!

10 a.m.-1 p.m. Easter Egg Hunt at Fire Barrel Farm, 306 George Derrick Rd., Swansea. Each child will receive a Easter basket of their choice and a door prize ticket. Activities include dying eggs, pin the tale on the bunny and coloring. 11:00 the egg hunt begins. Later, the Easter Bunny will hop out of the cottage and will be available for photos, so bring your cameras or your phone to get some great photos. We also have picnic tables available if anyone wants to bring a picnic lunch and eat with the Easter Bunny. Tickets, $6 per child.

10 a.m.-3 p.m. Easter Bunny Eggspress, SC Railroad Museum, 110 Industrial Park Rd., Winnsboro. Reserve your seat on the Easter Bunny Eggspress, a 1.5 hour excursion through the Fairfield County countryside and meet the Easter Bunny. Games, crafts, and more. Reserve your seat now.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saluda Shoals Egg Hunt, fields at Saluda Shoals Park, 6071 St. Andrews Rd., Irmo. Bring a basket for your eggs! Hunts for all ages will be separated by age and different soccer fields. Food trucks available for meals and snacks. Get your tickets in advance and save.

11 a.m.-1 p.m. Downtown Easter Eggstravaganza by VillageChurch Downtown Columbia, Roy Lynch Park, 908 Abbeville St., Columbia. This family friendly event will also include face painting, live music, balloon artist, food trucks and Easter goodie bags. The event and activities are free, but you will need money for the food trucks.

11 am.-2 p.m. Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt, J's Corner, 1015 Rosewood Dr., Columbia. An egg-citing event for adults and children. Parents, sip on $5 Peep Mimosas and Bunny Marys, while the kids enjoy an Easter Egg Hunt at 11:30. Groove to live music on the patio with His and Hers from noon-3 p.m..

11 a.m.-3 p.m. Brookland Baptist Church Spring Market, 1066 Sunset Blvd West Columbia. Food Drive and Silent Auction to help support local charities, first 100 guests in the building will receive a FREE GIFT

11 a.m.-4 p.m. Palmetto Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, 1122 Rawl Rd., Lexington. Hidden Creek Stables is hosting a spring market event with lots of local vendors, food trucks, Easter egg hunt, hay rides and more! Palmetto Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center will be there with some of the rescue animals.

11 a.m.-4 p.m. Modern Companion Pet Boutique, 508-B Lexington Ave, Chapin. You and your pet can find eggs hidden all over the store with prizes ranging from delicious treats to even more delicious discounts. Bring your pet in to sniff one out for you! Each customer will be limited to one egg to keep things fair but stick around for a backdrop perfect for festive pictures.

3-5 p.m. Lent and Easter Event, Shandon United Methodist Church, 3407 Devine St., Columbia. Families with children ages infant through 5th grade are invited to the church gym for a Lent and Easter event, which includes a live donkey, cookie decorating, crafts, packing Blessing bags for the homeless ending with an Easter egg hunt. An adult must accompany children. Advance registration will be required, and we ask that families donate one dozen treat-filled eggs per child participating.
