LEXINGTON, S.C. — Veterans Day is this Saturday November 11 and for the next week there will be events geared towards that day which honors the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. military during war time and peace time.
The Lexington County Veterans Parade was held Sunday afternoon in the heart of downtown Lexington. Floats, vehicles, a boat provided transportation for local dignitaries while a number of organizations put their feet to the pavement and marched in the 21st edition of his parade.
The Shriners were well represented with Sumter and Columbia chapters taking part in the parade along with the marching bands from Gilbert High School and White Knoll High School.
