New development proposed at Percival and Spears Creek Church roads

COLUMBIA, S.C. — City of Columbia's Planning Commission will consider approval of a site plan for a proposed residential development in the northeast, near the intersection of Percival and Spears Creek Church roads.

The developer plans construction of 311 attached single-family residential units on 34.67 acres. The land is bounded by Percival Road/Sanders Bluff Lane, Spears Creek Church Road, I-20, and the entrance to Clothing World in the 4600 block of Percival Road. The subdivision would be named Astoria.

This would be the second proposed residential community along Percival Road in the past few years.  A 298 single family home development named Colonels Creek is under development along Percival Road, across from Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The Astoria subdivision would be located on the north side of the Clothing World entrance while Colonels Creek is to the south.
