FOREST ACRES, S.C. — Forest Acres will be getting a boost of the caffeinated variety in 2023 if plans announced by a developer on Wednesday continue to move forward.
Real estate firm Trinity Partners has announced that an Arkansas-based coffee company is eyeing the corner of Forest Drive and North Beltline Boulevard as part of its expansion into the South Carolina Midlands.
With plans to begin construction of the development in December 2022, 7 Brew hopes to see a completion date of the fourth quarter of 2023.
"Their mission is to serve good coffee with record speed and also serve up kindness and joy," the City of Forest Acres recently said in an announcement regarding the new shop.
7 Brew operates drive-through locations primarily in its home state of Arkansas but also has locations in Kansas, Missouri, and Texas. However, it also lists two locations in Greenville, South Carolina already.
The City of Forest Acres said that the coffee shop is one of more than 10 businesses that have announced their opens or arrival in the Forest Acres area in recent months.
In addition to the coffee shop, the one-acre site is expected to also include a 4,500-square-foot medical office building as a secondary tenant.
In announcing the future location, the city also fielded questions regarding potential traffic it may bring to the area.
The city said it doesn't have plans just yet but that it would update residents when they become available. The city also said that the South Carolina Department of Transportation will also review the development of the site and make sure it meets safety standards for motorists traversing the busy intersection.
