COLUMBIA, S.C. — Richland County residents and businesses that use the County's two drop-off sites for recycling or disposing of junk will now have a new, more user-friendly common schedule beginning Monday, September 9.

Both the Lower Richland Drop-Off Center, at 10531 Garners Ferry Rd. (803) 776-2324, and the Clemson Road Recycling Center, at 900 Clemson Rd. (803) 5762440, will be open 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Both will be closed Sundays and Mondays.

The change was made to reduce confusion for residents and businesses, and to better allocate the sites' staff and resources.

The change in hours does not affect the County's C&D Landfill Drop-Off Center, at 1070 Caughman Rd. N, in Columbia. Those hours will remain 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, and closed on Sunday. (803) 576-2390
