SANTEE, S.C. — Orangeburg County will be welcoming new neighbors soon as McCord's Ferry at Lake Marion will celebrate its grand opening on April 23 and 24, 2022.
The new lakefront community near Santee, SC is said to be master-planned and sits on 700 acres of land.
It will be located at 122 Twisted Oak Trail Blvd. in Elloree, SC, and will be home to a 1,000-home development.
The grand opening will be celebrated over the course of two days, from April 23 to 24. It is free to the public and visitors will be able to explore model homes and indulge in live entertainment, food trucks, home tours, and more.
“We are thrilled to welcome our Lowcountry neighbors to join us in this celebration,” shared Micah Simon, McCord’s Ferry lead developer in a release. “Seeing our vision for this community come together has been a joy!”
McCord’s Ferry at Lake Marion is one of the state’s largest residential neighborhoods currently in development, providing up to 1,000 new homes for families and individuals in Orangeburg and Calhoun counties once completed, according to developers.
Developers also said the gated community will represent one of the area’s largest neighborhoods. It will include a community center with meeting rooms, a fitness center, pool, walking trails leading to Santee State Park, a community boat ramp and dock, boat storage, and more.
