Shred for a good cause

Declutter your home and office and give to help victims of Hurricane Helene at the same time at free document shredding event
Shredded Documents prior to destruction.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — If you have stacks and stacks of unwanted papers, old bills and other personal papers that need to be destroyed, Wednesday is the perfect time to pack it all up and declutter.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Central South Carolina and Charleston is hosting its Fall Shred Day 10 a.m.-noon on October 9 at Second Calvary Baptist Church, off North Main Street, a 1110 Mason Rd. in Columbia.

Bring up to three copy paper sized boxes (or smaller) or three kitchen trash bags per vehicle filled with old bills, floppy discs, CDs, credit card records, and other personal paperwork to be destroyed to this document shredding event. Shred360 will also accept opened prescription medication bottles for destruction.

While you are purging yourself of this unwanted material, take the time to support victims of Hurricane Helene by donating what you can, monetarily. The BBB is partnering with American Red Cross to provide monetary donations to those affected by the hurricane. Credit and debit card donations will be accepted during Fall Shred Day.
