COLUMBIA, S.C. — Tyson Foods has announced the company will reestablish operations in Richland County, with work set to begin in May.
The company will invest a total of $55 million at its former site at 1970 Bluff Road (near Beltline Boulevard and I-77) over the next three to five years to transform the facility into a meat portioning and packing operation. Tyson had originally made taco meat and pizza toppings at that plant but the location was closed in August 2020.
According to Tyson, the new operations will employ 330 people, more than double the number of team members who previously worked at the facility.
Information about available jobs can be found at Tyson's careers website.
