Here’s how Amazon Prime members can get free GrubHub+ perk

Grubhub’s subscription service usually costs $9.99.

HOUSTON — Just days before its annual Prime Day, Amazon announced that Prime members will get a free year of Grubhub food delivery.

Grubhub’s subscription service usually costs $9.99. The service is in more than 4,000 cities and gives you access to meal ordering from hundreds of thousands of U.S. restaurants.

Lisa Leung leads Member growth for Amazon Prime and talked to KHOU 11 consumer reporter Tiffany Craig.

“We listened to our customers as to what benefits and offerings they would like and where they would like to see savings,” Leung said. “Food delivery is something that’s very popular amongst our customers and so we’re really excited to team up with Grubhub to offer Grubhub+ as a part of Prime.”

To activate the deal, go to www.amazon.com/grubhub.

Another perk for Prime members is an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The sneak peek is on your Amazon Prime page for a 48-hour window. Leung said that this series is one of the most anticipated shows of the year.

“I’m not going to ruin too much of what is in it but it features an ominous sign in the night sky for the inhabitants of Middle-earth,” she said.

The series will be released on Sept. 2.

As for the annual Amazon Prime Day, it’s scheduled for July 12 and 13.
