Columbia Metropolitan Airport makes booking flights easier through new online service

New booking service is part of CAE's expansion

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Visitors to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) now have a new tool to search and book flights directly from the airport's FlyCAE website.

FlyMyAirport will allow passengers to view highlighted flights in and out of Columbia -- domestic, international, nonstop and connecting -- and book directly from the airport's website. There are also flight, hotel, car, and package deals available to choose from. FlyMyAirport is a widget created by Airport One LLC and embedded into CAE's website. Search results for FlyMyAirport are powered by Kayak.

“We want to encourage our community to support local, by flying local,” said Kim Jamieson Crafton, Vice President of Marketing & Air Service Development at CAE. “With the home location permanently on CAE, we’re reinforcing the importance of starting – and now booking – your trips from your hometown airport.”

CAE offers more than 26 daily flights with nonstop service to 10 major airports in nine cities, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, New York City (LGA), Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. (Dulles and Reagan National). CAE is served by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines and serves as a regional cargo hub for UPS and served by cargo carrier, FedEx.

The FlyMyAirport addition comes amid expansion at the airport, including new food and retail services.
