SC Works hosts hiring event on Wednesday, other Midlands job opportunities

Hiring event in Blythewood on Sept. 15; various outdoor recreation companies in South Carolina list job openings

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Individuals seeking employment in packaging or in the field of outdoor recreation have opportunities to land a position with Midlands companies this week.

For those with expertise in printing operations, SC Works is hosting a hiring event at Constantia Flexibles in Blythewood on Wednesday, Sept. 15.

The company that manufactures products to dairy, confectionery, processed food, pet food, pharmaceutical, and beverage industries worldwide is seeking full time employees to fill a variety of positions.

Warehouse workers and drivers in Elloree

Local grocery distribution center, ASUSA Distribution, is hiring 100 warehouse associates and up to 50 truck drivers. The Elloree-based supply chain center services regional Food Lion grocery stores. New hires in the warehouse can earn up to $24.12 per hour, based on experience, and drivers (with a Commercial Driver's License) can make starting salaries of $85,000. ADUSA Distribution and ADUSA Transportation offer competitive benefits packages including health care and dental insurance, 401(k) and immediate eligibility for tuition reimbursement.

ADUSA will host a career fair 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at the distribution center in Elloree, 258 Snider Street.
