PHILADELPHIA — Anthropologie is recalling 19,380 candles after nine fires.
The Anecdote Autumn Glass Candles can create high flames which break the glass container.
The recall says the fires went on to cause minor property damage, and U.S. safety regulators fear increased fire and laceration hazards could continue if the candles are in use.
Fireside Chats, Weekend Getaway, Fall Feels and Sweater Weather are the candles that regulators warn consumers to immediately extinguish.
The candles were sold online at anthropologie.com and in stores nationwide from July through December of 2021 for around $32.
For a refund, purchasers can return the candle at any Anthropologie store. Consumers may also call (800)-282-2200 or email recall@urbn.com.
