(WLTX) -- Since the first reports in January of Radio Shack's possible bankruptcy, which came about February 5th, the focus has turned to which of the 4,000+ Radio Shack store locations would face the axe.
In the Feb. 5th SEC statement filed by Radio Shack, General Wireless Inc. and Sprint have agreed to buy up to 2,400 of Radio Shack's retail locations, and convert them into a "Store within a Store" for Sprint sales.
Radio Shack's corporate website published what they call a "Potential Store Closure List," that includes nearly 1,800 locations.
Included on the list is over two dozen South Carolina stores, and 11 Midlands locations (in bold):

Though titled "Potential," multiple news outlets are reporting that this is THE list set for closings. We've contacted Radio Shack for specifics on which of these stores will close, and when.
An unnamed Media Relations staffer for Radio Shack sent the following reply:
We don't have a timeline at this point. Any new updates will be shared on the website, and all information there is the most up to date updates.
